Angry Does anyone know what's happening with WinLinux?

I'm very unhappy with their "lifetime support".
I've been waiting for six weeks to hear from back from them.

I'm beginning to suspect that this guy:

Vinicius Bones Silva
vsilva@winlinux.net
WinLinux Support Team
support@winlinux.net

is the whole company, and he's just fallen off
the face of the earth.

He really sent me just 2 emails back in January and February and has sent me nothing since.

I can only get to the command prompt. I don't think it recognizes my video hardware.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, err what problems are you having? Some more details would be handy...errors you're given, commands you've used...anything?

I havent tried personally to get support for their distrobution. Mine was a downloaded version. But looking for a few faqs on their website hasnt been fruitful. The homepage now seems to take you anywhere but to any type of support.
If anyone has more insight they could shed on this , I'm curious to know also.
Mine wont get past console mode either. If I ever have success I willl try to share my details for you !

I have also noticed that the ftp folder ( ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/ )where I DL'ed my .exe is now empty. A few others places that once had their distributution of WinLinux 2001 are also now empty. Something must be "amiss" there that no one is sharing.

------------------------------------

I guess I was going "back" to the wrong page for FAQ's. they are at http://www.winlinux.net not ..... .com . I still dont know any more now than before that may help. I'm still to new to offer help here. Hopefully someone may recognise your problem and offer assistance. I am still interested in WinLinux to possibly migrate a few family members from MIcrosoft's grip of constant $$$ upgrades. I wish you luck and hope the right person reads this thread and can offer assistance.
