Displaying images on this forum

Per http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...eading_posting:

How do I add an image to a post?

If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.

To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing [img] before the URL and [/img] after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.
I first uploaded an image to another website. I am sure I am blind, but could not find the 'Insert Image' icon. So, I tried using the [img] tags, but preview only showed it as a link. So, I uploaded the image as an attachment and inserted it in the post, but it shows a a very small image (see http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...rk-4175606386/).

How should I include images in posts on this website?

probably via the attachment button... https://lqo-thequestionsnetw.netdna-...tor/attach.gif Use the full post function rather than quick reply to see it.

some subforums do not allow images to be shown directly, i.e. the [img] tag just doesn't work (and there's no image icon in the toolbar)
