Problem displaying images in browser

Hi Everyone,
I see that images in web pages do not show up properly when I surf the Internet using any of the web browsers.
In Firefox (2.0.0.7) I right click on the position of each image, and choose view image. That particular image loads on a new page. Now if I go back to the previous page that particular image is loaded.
In Seamonkey (1.1.4) I right click on each image and choose reload image and then the image loads.
In Opera(9.5 Alpha) many pages look utterly wrong; images do not show up properly, the text is scattered all over the page--in short the page looks absolutely terrible.
A couple of things need to be added. Firefox sometimes and also Seamonkey can display images without requiring any step described above. But for Opera a correctly displayed web page is the exception rather than the rule.
The second and possibly the most important thing is that I access the Internet through a proxy server that has some restrictions on the number of connections per IP.

All three of the browsers named have a Preferences setting to allow loading images. In Firefox and Seamonkey, the Preferences link is in Edit. In Opera, it's in Tools.
