Difference bewteen linux and embedded linux


Hi Guys
How can I know which version of linux , I am currently working on?
Main issue is , I like to know whether the linux , I am currently working is embedded linux or is a different version.

Welcome to LQ,

Execute the following command on a terminal (on your Linux machine) and post the exact output here:

The command "cat /etc/issue" displays
maemo 8.04 \n \l

command "uname -r" displays
2.6.24-19-generic
