Hello everyone,

can someone please tell me where I can download
"Promise Ultra100TM IDE Controller Driver (for A7V with Promise Ultra100 IDE controller)" for Linux? I'm having major problem installing Linux 7.0. I know I need this driver because this same problem also happened when I was installing Win2K and I was able to resolve the problem when
I downloaded the driver (Promise Ultra 100TM IDE Controller Driver v1.60 (Build 25) for Win9x, WinME, WinNT4 and Win2000) for Win2K at Unfortunately, Asus site does not have the driver for
linux. I have an AMD 900mhz asus a7v machine. I have a 30 gig 7200 ata100 drive on the ultra100 cables and slots.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!

Thank you!

Marci Sarwan (

PS. Please feel free to email me!
