Question Dell Inspiron 6000 monitor

I just finished installing Suse 10 on my laptop and I had a black screen so I can't change the resolution and the refresh rate, what is the command used to do this?

I can't see anything, that's why I use Failsafe mode.

Wow, I've never heard of that before, does this show up in console mode, or just when you start your desktop? If it only happens when you start your desktop, you most likely have the wrong video drivers installed. I'm not sure what program to do this with in Suse but do a google search and you should come up with something.
