Question Dell 1397 WLAN - Newbie needs help

Hi;
I am new here and to Linux.
My laptop has a Dell 1397 WLAN card or chip. It identifies as "Broadcomm wireless 14e4:4312.
I run Linux Lite and would like to get wireless working.
The tip I found on an Ubuntu forum does not work/help.
I am sure the answer is somewhere out there but it seems I don't find it - or search for the wrong keywords.
Any help anybody please?
TIA in advance.

Hi...

What distribution and version of Linux are you using? What suggestion didn't work and can you provide a link to it?

Regards...
