Default Mandrake 10.1 password

I installed Mndrake as a dual boot with Windows 2000 and both boot up OK but when I get to the Mandrake login screen it just shakes when I try to type in a password.

During the part of the Linux install that asks for a password and to add an account my keyboard did not initialize so I just pressed next. Do I have to reinstall again or is there another way to get into linux?

If you didn't enter a password during the installation, the default should be <nothing>. So just try hitting <Enter> for the password. ??

Did it ....the screen shakes and that's it.

Hmmm. Sounds to me like it wasn't a good install. At this point, you probably don't have anything to lose by reinstalling.
