CUPS "Authentication Required" problem

I'm using suse 10.2.

I went through the entire CUPS configuration for a windows print server situated ona workgroup and it seems to have gone fine, until the last screen where I got an authentication required screen.

I entered both my CUPS user account info I had just created in suse AND my root login to see if either one would work; but, to no avail; the screen keeps on poping up.

Any suggestions?

The user will be root unless SUSE developers did something different. To change settings for a printer or add a printer, make sure you type https://[IP_address_to_CUPS_ server]:631.
