creative sb audigy 2 problems (with onboard sound)
hi, im running mandrake 9.2 on my sys with a asus a7v266-e (with onboard sound) amd 1700+, ati allinwonder8500dv, and sb audigy 2 sound card. My problem (i think) is that linux has selected my onboard sound as the default, whereas i would like to use (and have my speakers/mics hooked up to) my audigy2 card. I posted this problem once on annother forum, where i was told to disable plug and play in my bios. This seemed to work: my kmix had one window for sound, instead of a folder with the audigy as the second choice (as it is now) but i had some issues with mounting devices with removable media. I have not changed my bios, but have reinstalled linux and am facing the same problem again. Am i correct in assuming that this is a problem of linux choosing teh wrong default driver? and if so, how do i change it to the audigy2 card? any help would be much appreciated!
thanx
