Its nice to meet you all.

I have been a webmaster / wordpress / CSS / Light Php for years, but now I am learning trying to learn linux and server administration, so I can run my own small hosting company for my clients to provide better service for them in the future and also to learn what to look for when I hire others as I grow.

My question:

I bough a second hand server from eBay and its got bios on it and also maybe a windows trial ( ewwww! )

I read online to install cpanel. I need to run

cd /home && curl -o latest -L https://securedownloads.cpanel.net/latest && sh latest

BUT WHERE do I start?

On Tuesday, I go to my co-lo and hook up the sever.

How do I go from there?

Can someone explain to me how to get cpanel going from a blank server to running or point me to a good blog read?

You need to install an OS (Operating System) first, preferably a Linux type OS, not Windows

Seems OS supported by Cpanel are limited, maybe centOS could be an option, your choice...

I have centos 7 installed now, BUT cannot activate my network for some reason
