copying the source

hi

i am running FC1 on my laptop. i tried copying the source of the kernel and i am not able to do so. i tried installing the latest version of the kernel source and tht also fails. it starts installing the kernel source and mid way thru the installation just says error and stops
how can i get the source of my kernel onto my machine. i need it to be able to install a VPN dialer

could you display the errors taken from when you copy/install or whatever else you said goes on with linux source code?
