copying from terminal screen

I'm running Mandrake 9.0 and using the KDE GUI. Basically I just want to copy some output from the terminal window into an email to someone, but when I look at the edit menu the only option I see is "paste". What am I doing wrong?????

Usually in most cases whatever you highlight puts to clipboard already.. you'd need to just open up your email then try to paste there.
