conection permissions

Hello Everybody.

After 15 days of Battle and reading HOWTO'S to get Slack 10 on the net, Today Finally It is connected. (You can't Image how I Feel !!).

Well the reason I am here is Because the system is working with ppp-go and ppp-off, but only root can do that, How can I asign rights to the rest of my three users?. I ask this here, because I don't want to Scrub everything up.

If anybody can help, I'll appreciate it

Thank you.

Maynor

what you need to look for is dial-on-demand. this should cause the program to dial if there is a need for the connection.

Hi,
What do you think about this??

Enabling Dial-on-demand
Dial-on-demand enables computers on a network to use one dial-up connection for everyone on the network. Placing the following code into /etc/rc.d/rc.inet2 (just after the IPV forward code) will allow this to happen. Just have the other computers use this computer as the gateway.

# This is to establish Dial-on-demand
# PPPD_AUTO: 0 = off, 1 = on. Pretty simple huh?
PPPD_AUTO=0
if [ "$PPPD_AUTO" = "1" ]; then
echo "Activating Dial-on-Demand."
# Replace with the Nameserver of YOUR ISP or just their address
pppd :1.2.3.4
route add -host 255.255.255.255 dev eth0
