Claws Mail - Wanna Install "Fancy" Plug-in To View html E Mails - Need Help

I have Claws Mail installed but none of the Claws Mail plug-in bundles contain the "Fancy" plug-in that allows the program to render html E Mail for some reason these days. I found a stand alone Fancy plug-in download but I'm having trouble installing it.

First I need to know the specific information of of my exact version of Linux to know which download to use. Where can I find the specific version information of my version of Linux? All I know is that I have Linux Mint Cinnamon 19.something-or-another. I think it's Ubuntu based and I remember seeing a bunch of that AMD64 stuff going by when it was installing. My hardware is an AMD 64bit processor. The downloads page is listing downloads for Debian 9, Debian 8, Mageia, OpenMandriva, ROSA, and Ubuntu.

I found this page listing two downloads for the Fancy plug-in. I think the one I should use is the one stating "AMD64", which would be this download for Debian 9:

claws-mail-fancy-plugin_3.14.1-3+b1_amd64.deb

When I try to install that package though I get this dependency error:

If anyone can tell me how to find out my exact installation info and direct me to the correct download and how to install it I would be grateful.

Edit: Ok so I found that I have Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa installed. But I don't know if it's debian.

These three downloads are directly from the Claws Mail Web Site but I don't know which one I use or how to install it:

claws-mail-3.17.4.tar.gz
claws-mail-3.17.4.tar.bz2
claws-mail-3.17.4.tar.xz

Does your version of claws have the litehtml_viewer.so plugin?
Try that instead.
Or the Dillo plugin.
I also had trouble getting the fancy plugin to work, on a different distro though.

Mint belongs to the Debian family (as does Ubuntu) so if the thing you want to download comes in a choice of .deb and .rpm packages, you need the .deb one.

amd64 is another name for x86_64, in other words 64-bit intel code.

You can always find out version information by listing /etc/os-release.

My installed version of Claws does not have litehtml or the Dillo plugin. I think the Fancy plug-in would work but some of these plug-ins need to be installed manually with the terminal and I have yet to accomplish that.

OK.
Maybe you should try to get a newer version of claws; mine's at
Code:
 claws-mail --version
Claws Mail version 3.17.4
Maybe Mint/Ubuntu has some backports for that?

PS:
seriously, forget about the fancy plugin. I tried it twice with a few years in between; I think it must have been unmaintained for a decade or so.
