chroot with rssh sftp setup

Hi All,

not sure why my last post not update in there. never mind.

May i please ask a question about chroot with rssh sftp setup.

i follow with: http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/howto-...ail-setup.html

to setup everything i can. but when i try to sftp in it from another server,

i am getting enter pwd promote, and then after i enter password, connection closed.
--------------------
log shows:

Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: allowing sftp to all users
Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: setting umask to 022
Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: line 53: configuring user username
Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: setting username's umask to 011
Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: allowing scp to user username
Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: allowing sftp to user username
Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: chrooting username to /home/username/chroot
Jul 9 10:02:52 grs-backend-1 rssh[27230]: chroot cmd line: /usr/libexec/rssh_chroot_helper 2 "/usr/libexec/openssh/sftp-server"
------------------

however, when i looking @ the log for the working username, it always has:

Jul 9 10:07:42 grs-backend-1 rssh[27266]: chroot cmd line: /usr/libexec/rssh_chroot_helper 1 "scp -t /home/workinguser"

which pint scp to chroot directory.

i have tried to Google it and no luck.

Any help will be really appreciate.

Thank you.

Andy

Your question is not that clear. What is the problem again? Are you saying chroot does not work?
