Chat on linux


I was wonderin if there are chat programs such as mirc on windows for linux.Thx for any help

mirc? That's crap compared to the IRC clients in Linux.... most popular is probably xchat in X but you can choose from probably dozens of them, epic, bitchx, mozilla chat, and i even think GAIM supports it to now...

Mazilla has a chat client built into it. It can be accessed by one of the small icons at the bottom-left .

Am usin suse 9.0.What should i do to get a chat program and make it work?

I'm sure Suse comes with X-Chat...

If not: www.xchat.org

Go there and download X-Chat.

I think SUSE also comes with Mozilla . So you can easily use Mozilla chat.
