Changing NTFS files from executable

I've just copyed some Python files onto my Linux partion from an NTFS server. How do I change it so that Linux recognises that they are not executables?

I can still open and run them as Python files, it's just mildly confusing (all that green!) and could get...interesting later on (possibly).

Cheers,
Dan
