CentOS to access Sun StorEdge A1000

Hello:
I have a CentOS 2.6.18-238.12.1.el5 on HP Proliant DL380 G3. A Sun StorEdge A1000 connects to it. This A1000 has previous configured with RAID 5 LUNs. How do I make the CentOS to access those LUNs?
Thanks

Looks like you connect to the A1000 via Ultra SCSI cables. So .. easiest is to just reboot the server. Shouldn't need anything special.

iLO's firmware version is 1.94.
This Porliant used to have Window NT installed. Window was able to see A1000's LUNs.
Do I miss some driver(s) on CentOS? Or this is firmware issue?
Thanks

This is not the boot log, this is the output from the DL380's POST (Power on self test)
How many disks are in the DL380 itself? There should be an internal SmartArray card which is used to set up a hardware RAID. This would be for the internal disks ONLY! The Sun StorEdge A1000 is not a RAID array, it's a JBOD of 12 disks or two JBODs of 6 disks Max. So Any RAID for the A1000 would be set up as a software RAID. I'm unfamiliar with software RAID at present I'm afraid. I've got Centos 5.0 running on an HP ML370 G4 internally - eight 72Gb SAS drives. N.B Centos apparently uses Volume management; I made up one hardware logical volume from my eight drives and Centos decided it was made up of two parts. Grub2 didn't find it, I had to edit a config file to get it to boot.

The Firmware warning is because the firmware is ... er... not current. You can download a firmware CD from HP to update all the upgradeable parts of the DL380 G3 to current levels. You can also download a SmartStart CD which allows you to check your system with diagnostics, run the ADU (Array Diagnostic Utility) and deploy your operating system.
Check here and download the Smartstart 8.0 iso: ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/Se...tsoftware/ZIP/
Smartstart is at about Version 8.7 at present but it looks like HP want you to buy it now. Anything from V7.40 on should be OK I reckon. If it doesn't recognise something, maybe you need a higher version.

You might want to check out : http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...riesId=1844067 as well
Both CDs should be bootable when you burn the image to CD (or DVD)

Oops! It's now a bit late (early!) so I'll close now. If you've any queries, I'd have to go and check a load of notes and stuff, so, later...

Play Bonny!
