Hello everyone, I'm installing mandrake 10 and I get an error saying "cdrom device not detected". I have a lite-on dvd+-r/+-rw drive. It detects cds and dvds in winXP just fine. I changed the boot sequence to cdrom first, then hdd, and finally removable device. It does seem to detect the mandrake cd because it displays a mandrake screen before the error shows up. How do I take care of this? Thanks.

I've read other posts where people suggest loading the 2.4 kernel by pressing F1 for more options and then typing alt1 but the mandrake screen doesn't respond to antyhing I type. It eventually just goes to a black screen that says welcome to mandrake and has the "error: no cdrom device detected". There are options on the botton like alt-<something> but it again doesn't respond to anything I type.
If it helps my specs besides the DVD burner already mentioned are as follows:
DFI nf4 ultra infinity MOBO
AMD64 3000+ Venice processor
1Gb Kingston HyperX ram
XFX geforce 128Mb 6600gt PCI-E
WD 120Gb caviar HDD-With 10Gb unpartitioned space that I plan to use for mandrake.
