Cant configure hpijs

USing Debian 3.1 Sarge, trying to install packages in order to get a HP Laserjet printer to work, however packages will not install, seems to be having a big problem with Python, the following are the errors when I apt-get hpijs:

dpkg: error processing python2.3-sip4-qt3 (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of python2.3-qt3:
python2.3-qt3 depends on python2.3-sip4-qt3 (>= 4.0.1); however:
Package python2.3-sip4-qt3 is not configured yet.
python2.3-qt3 depends on python2.3-sip4-qt3 (<< 4.2); however:
Package python2.3-sip4-qt3 is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing python2.3-qt3 (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Setting up hpijs (2.1.2+0.9.2-2) ...

Has anybody got any experience and solutions on this subject?

Greenie

I found the problem that caused this,

It was caused by a bad .py file in /usr/lib/python2.3 !!!

Use "synaptic", and install all that stuff over again. If the package is already installed, install it over again. There is a search function in synaptic to find packages. On a user terminal window type "xhost +". In a root terminal window type "synaptic".
