Canon dslr drivers for SUSE enterprise?

I have a 5d dslr and I need them drivers too. as far as coding goes, well, I know how to type. the last time I remember doing it was in grade school and trying to get a "turtle" around a square box. I'm talking pre-ms dos stuff.

right now I'm just draging my image folder onto the desktop, cauchemar! So I end up with over 100-300 files in both jpec and raw formats there. Also its having trouble opening raw files and GIMP doesn't seem to recognise it.

Typing isn't coding.

According to both gPhoto and DigiKam, the model camera you're talking about is supported...should just have to plug it in via USB, and select "IMPORT", and it'll throw the photos into your album(s) as you specify. There are also programs to let you modify/read/write the RAW format, which Google can lead you to, like this one:

ufraw is in the suse repos
gimp needs "unidentified fling RAW" to import images from a camera
see the Gimp web page

but f-stop should work

you might want to have a look at the suse wiki
