My machine starts canna server each time I boot. I wonder, can I live without this Daemon? (I think daemon is the proper word...).
I mean, I tried booting with canna disabled at start up and didn't notice
anything different, but, it could be that there's some invisible task that
should stay there?
i think... canna is the japaneese text entry encoding deamon thing.... unless you type often in kangi (sp) then i dont think you need to start it
rc-update del canna
should take it out... but make sure you have a boot floppy first... in case canna is actualy the uber system kernal driver daddy master controll program wasname
No problem! I'm
taking canna off.
It's just that
rc-update del canna
or rc -update del canna
or /sbin/rc-update del canna
or /sbin/rc -update del canna
none of these work.
I'll just start
gnome and go to
one of those easy
configuration
utilities and take
canna off
the start up for
now.
Thanks! :-)
Francisco
P.S. I hope the
text is readable.
