We have no idea...why don't you ask your 'educational institute'/professor, and see if that's an acceptable project. We don't know where you go to school or what they'll accept, nor do we know what you're submitting this for.

Learning new things always helps...there's no way of knowing HOW it will help you, since we don't know what you're going to do in the future.

Hello,
sorry educational institute means "college".i want to submit my LFS project as my 6months project but i don't know if any rules are thier for LFS/BLFS so i think this is wrong so i posted help for my problem.so as you said this is accetable project can i submit this in my college?
Again, we have NO IDEA what the rules and procedures for your college/educational institution are. Why don't you ask one of your professors (as opposed to random strangers on the Internet) whether this is an acceptable project.
I'm sure the LFS/BLFS people won't care as long as you make proper attribution and citation of their work during whatever write-up you have to present. To the best of my knowledge, you won't be violating any rules by writing up how you installed LFS/BLFS, as long as you correctly cite the work of others (e.g. don't claim you wrote the LFS book). However, whether this is an acceptable project for whatever class/program you're in, how would we have any idea?

No, I specifically said that you need to ASK THEM if this was acceptable. There is NO WAY anyone here can answer what's right/wrong/acceptable at your college. Again, ask your professor.
This is LinuxQuestions...if you have Linux-related issues, problems with LFS, etc., then please post them. But you're asking us to tell you what the acceptable project types are for your particular college/class.

You should present this to your student adviser/mentor for the class project. If you do not know who to ask then approach the department chairman for advise.
You can check the license for each LFS, BLFS & ALFS but I would be sure that as long as you include the license information and provide proper credits then you should be able to use within academic environment.
Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!

Reason: typo
Are you asking whether LFS has rules (licensing terms, etc) that would prohibit you from submitting your LFS work to your college as project work?
If so, the answer is no. If it's okay with your college, then it's okay with LFS.
It would be wise for the OP to get approval from the proper academic project adviser/mentor. We cannot advise since we are not privy to the project terms or student agreements within the OP's school. I am surprised the OP does not have guidelines for the student projects. Most accredited schools provide strict guidelines for student credited projects. So our staying it is 'OK' is something I would not advise. The OP needs to speak with persons who control the project criteria to be sure things are good to go.
