Can't get installed program to launch

I'm running Ubuntu 8.10. I used the terminal to install a program called mp3wrap(supposed to join separate mp3 files into one), but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Alt/F2 auto completes it but doesn't launch it. How would I add it to my menu and run it? Thanks.

That's because it's a commandline utility.

Didn't realize that. It does appear in Synaptic as well. How do you know when a program is guied or command line driven?

Unless is states gui or commandline you don't. Generally if you launch a program from commandline and a gui opens up on the desktop then... well you know the rest

In the main (not always), most apps when installed on *buntu will make a menu entry as well.

You can always google the app and check the details on the apps website.
