Unhappy boot up time increased when made a DD copy of fedora core3 HDD

hello there,

i recently made a DD copy of a linux FC3 formatted HDD installed with my embedded application. the new HDD becomes very slow at the time of booting and also shows a series of errors at the time of shut down. both the HDD are identical and the previous one is working absolutely fine. plzz HELP ME.

With what you give my guess is the hds are not identical, are they both (say for instance) Western Digital - Model WD250XXXXX or is one Western Digital - Model WD250XXXXY. Because hds say they are XXX Gig means they are about that size. You need to make sure the hd is the same size or larger.
