Boot Problem

I just installed RedHat 8.0 and I am having trouble during the boot sequence. Everything during installation seemed to be going fine. My problem is that the boot sequence will go through everything to the point where it gets to "apm: BIOS verision 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver version 1.16)". At that point my computer just stops but I still have my blinking cursor at the lower left of the screen. No prompt though. I've also ran linux rescue and that has not worked. I ran noprobe and for some reason, it still probes my system for everything i.e. sound, video and whatnot. Anyone know what I can do???
