I am a newbie to Linux. I have Kubuntu 6.06 installed, sound is set to ALSA. My USB bluetooth adapter is recognized on plugin. However, I can't figure out how to get my Scala-500 headset paired to the adapter and working. While noodling around with the Bluetooth system settings, I did get the headset to be discovered (not sure if I am using the right terms). Unfortunately, I'm stuck; the documentation doesn't seem to cover this. My goal is to listen to mp3 podcasts through the headset on my media player (VLC). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ok, if the headset was recognized it should work. Check your alsa mixer settings to make sure it isn't muted.
