Can you give us more information ? What is the system running ? Grub ? What does the grub config say ? I have a feeling that grub command line is wrong or missing a space somewhere. I could be wrong. But please give us more information.

1. What bootloader is being used
2. If possible, what is the command line passed to kernel

Line 342: can’t open root/dev/console: no such file
It booted up the first time I tried
