yes it is helpful. But I have downloaded the above mentioned tar.bz2. I need to install it. Just installl it. The page you adviced shows how to update repository and then download, but I already have downloaded it and need to install it.
Is there any reason why you didn't use the 'automated' way using the package manager? If you're new to Linux but want to use tarballs for installing the latest software, then you'll better learn how to extract a compressed tar file and use the ln command before doing it or use Google to search for howtos. LQ users are not very eager to spoon feed newbies because you will learn nothing that way. These two came up in milliseconds on Google.
