AquaSim: What's the relation between "node-config -adhocRouting" and "new Agent/UWSink"?

Hello everyone:

I'm new in using AquaSim. Now I'm trying to implement my own routing protocol in UWSNs. Then I am confused about the configuration "adhocRouting" of a node and the agent attached on this node. For example:
Code:
set opt(adhocRouting) Vectorbasedforward
and
Code:
set a_(0) [new Agent/UWSink]
Do I need to modify both vectorbasedforward.h(.cc) and uw_sink.h(.cc)? What's the functionality of these files respectively?

Thank you! My English is not so good. Execuse me
