Question apache index server?

I'm currently bringing my company's website inhouse and putting it on a linux box running apache. It looks like the previous web hosting company was running IIS w/ index server and they had a search page on the site. The search page was just a basic text search that would search the html files of that paticular site and bring up some links.

What I need is to be pointed in the right direction on what would be the apache equivilant to IIS Index Server so people could still search from my apache server.

Thanks,
phek

How about using this search engine and indexer for mysql db "mnoGoSearch"
get it at http://search.mnogo.ru/
It is very powerfull and much better than Microsucks crap.
