any have a bochs how to?


hi there, i've just installed bochs on slackware 10.0 and i'm trying to get windows 98 running on bochs but i'm just lost does anyone maybe have a .bochsrc file and some intructions on how to do make it all work or a guide to a good how to?

or can you get windows 98 running on wine?

I got it to work with the documentation on their site and the sample bochsrc file you should have somewhere in your installation. You don't need to change much, only the ram, floppy, harddisk image and cdrom probably. You can see the parameters for the hd image if you use bximage to create it. Also there's qemu which is IMO easier to setup since the only thing you have to do is feed a few easy commandline options. And it's also faster than bochs, but if you want to use bochs I recommend you start reading the docs on the site and then read the sample bochsrc file and follow the directions in there.
