Another dual monitor question. regarding debian

ok nevermind the dual monitor. I think the problem lies within nvidia.

Basically here is the problem. I cannot switcht the device in xorg.conf to "nvidia" it always must be "nv"

I downloaded the latest nvidia driver. It still will not use nvidia it will only use nv.

Am i missing a step somewhere? I have the nvs 290. as the nvidia card.

I followed all the HOW to.. but even with just a single monitor..i cant get "nvidia" as the device to work..
driving me nuts.

what information do you guys need to help me out? i will be glad to provide. Thank you.

Post a link to the instructions you are using.
Are you using Debian stable Etch or testing Lenny?
