Arrow Amsn


Hey i have a problem...every time i try to run amsn it says this:

Application initialization failed: no display name and no $DISPLAY environment variable
Error in startup script: invalid command name "wm"
while executing
"wm state . withdraw"
(file "amsn" line 43)

Anyone kno wut this means?? thx.

where did you get the package from?
i snagged the latest tar.gz from:
http://amsn.sourceforge.net/
and compiled it with no problems at all. it works great. i noticed sometimes the .tgz files give me problems....so i just use the tar.gz...

no you must comepile
unless you find one that is packaged for your system i see your using slack

so if you go to there website and get that slackware version
all you have to do to install it is
installpkg FILENAMEHERE

make sure your in xwindows when your running the app ;-)
