Alternative to Adobe Flash ?


I was just wondering what alternatives there are to Adobe Flash Player i am using firefox and am running Arch Linux with a Mate DE.

install Chromium ( google chrome) and use googles pepper-flash

An alternative for what purpose? If for YouTube, for example, generally you don't need anthing. For proprietary video streaming you likely need whatever it is you need if that means Flash and DRM that's the only option. For animations and the like things like gnash might work.
