Question acer aspire 4520


Hi i have a acer aspire 4520 and i am running it with Lubuntu from a memory stick... what problems can i spect when i decide to install?? shall i try a different linux??

note: I installed lubuntu in a lenovo notepad and it was super hard getting the screen to work.

Well, this is going to be brief... no, no, sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Back on topic...

When you say you're 'running Lubuntu from a memory stick', is this the same machine as the screen that was 'super hard' to get working?

You should find the distribution that best suits your requirements and skill level and try running that from a USB, and then if it works out there, installing it onto your hard drive. There maybe more than one distribution that can serve you're needs. I'd suggest picking a suitable one and working on any issues you may have (but hopefully don't) with that.

Every laptop can be a bit different with Linux. It appears that you Acer is a Core2Duo cpu, which should work with Lubuntu. But any distro with a lightweight DE should work.
