Unhappy About Kernel

Dear Friends ,

I want to know about a thing , And that is when i have installed Redhat Linux Enterprise 4 in a Intel Brand Pc ,Then when it starts or booting period , it shows two Kernal .
1 ) Kernel-2.0.6 (suppose)
2) Kernel ELsmp - 2.0.6 (suppose)
Now my question is , what is tha Kernel ELsmp ?

And sometimes when I have Installed This same Linux in Another PC then it shows just One Kernal Version(Kernal-2.0.6) , it don't show then "Kernel ELsmp" option . Plz help me to know , Why it is Occured ?

Thx......

The SMP kernel is for multiprocessor systems. The Redhat installer may detect that and automatically make it available if it would be of use or not, I don't know but at least now you know what it's for.
