A Dell Inspiron T5800 LAPTOP will support Red Hat Linux 5 or not?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have bought a Dell INSPIRON T5800 LAPTOP with 2GB(1GB extra extended)DDR SDRAM AND 160 GB SATA HARD DISK with only DOS OS and configured dual booting with windows xp sp2 and Red Hat Linux 5 kernel version 2.6.18.The problem is that the virtual consoles in CLI of linux are not opening and Red Hatlinux OS is not detecting wired LAN Card or wireless LAN Card.I want to know what will be problem for this happening? Well any help you receive will be here on the forum, I doubt anyone will be calling you or emailing, as that would not benefit other users of these forums that may have the same or similar issues in the future.
Could you post the output of lspci here so we can see exactly what type of hardware we are attempting to make work ?
