WUSB11 Network Adaptor Help

Hi, I'm brand new to Linux, and I have an old version of Red Hat I would like to get on my network (it shares a box with a WinXP hard drive, dual-booting system), but I have no idea how to go about this. Completely clueless, and searches haven't turned up too much I could use. The Network Adapter is a WUSB11 from Linksys and uses the Wireless-B Protocol. Also, how do I get linux to recognize USB devices (I also have a USB hard drive for storage I would like to use)?

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
