I have a Win2kSrv running MS Proxy 2.0, however I'm having a heck of a time trying to get my linux system access to the internet through it. I've tried configuring Konq. to access the proxy server via the server IP address, however the browser cannot connect to the IP of proxy server. What confiuration settings might I need to enter to try and get this thing up and running? Also what options are available to login to win2k network using linux?
iconfig returned the information for my eth0 and loopback devices.. they seem fine.. ips and whatnot.
The IP for the W2k machine is an external IP while my workstation has been assigned an internal (10.*.*.*) ip address, I'm not sure what difference that might make if any..
However when I try to ping the w2k machine, I get a host unreachable error.. I can however ping the other internal network ips on the network..
Any other suggestions or ideas where I should go from here?
