WiFi Issue With Ubuntu 11.10

I recently installed Ubuntu 11.10 onto a Samsung N150 netbook and from what I can gather it either has a Atheros AR9285 or Realtek 8192E card in it. A day after the installation the wireless worked fine but now cannot connect to my Virgin Media Super Hub. When I try to connect the wireless symbol radiates for a while then it asks for the wireless password. I've found some other threads concerning this issue but I am not much of a techie and don't understand what to do. Could someone please explain to me what to do in simple terms.

You said the wireless works fine, yet you can't connect to anything? Then it doesn't work

Could you post the output of the following commands for me, using code tags?
