Why can I not SSH into my machine?!

For the past 2 years I've had no trouble getting into my home machine from outside the local network, until recently. I can ping my modem's IP, my music server works fine from outside the network, but I cannot remote in and I have no clue why. Nothing has changed in my config. Help?

Code:
# sudo netstat -taupen | grep sshd
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:32              0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      0          12525       1416/sshd
tcp6       0      0 :::32                   :::*                    LISTEN      0          12527       1416/sshd
edit: Nothing has changed on my router's end either, haven't messed with ports and the appropriate ports are open.

You say that you can ping your modem from outside. Is your modem that you connect to directly from outside or do you have a router behind this modem and have DMZ set up on modem? If no, did you receive this modem from your ISP and what is this ISP that gives you a modem with SSH server?

There is a router behind the modem but it's the same one I've had for years and nothing has changed.

Can you connect to this router from another computer on your local network using local IP address?

Can you connect via ssh on the server itself?
Can you connect via ssh from another pc on your LAN?

Has your ISP started blocking the port you use?

you might want to consider running nmap on your IP:

Code:
nmap -p 22 IP
were 22 and IP are the correct port and IPaddress of your WAN. If something has changed it will show up as blocked. In that case you will need to contact your ISP and find out what they did.

He's using a changed port, 32, you can see it in his first post where he quotes netstat
