Webalizer doesn't work


i typed - webalizer start
it prompted - Error: Can't open log file start

How do I fix it?

Not sure what distro you use...

RedHat/Fedora run webalizer thru cron . Check /etc/cron.daily - file is 00webalizer.

when you issue the command webalizer start, webalizer is looking for a logfile with the name start. read the webalizer man pages. you will get an idea.

Also check out AWStats.

i checked with cron.daily(/etc/cron.daily), the file is emply.
actaully I followed the (http://www.linuxlogic.org/default_te...id=8&page=test) to setup the webalizer for my virtualhost!!

since i used the virtualhost, the webalizer was out of service.
