Exclamation WAN question

Hi all;

I want to make a connection between three LANs.
LAN's are on different parts of the city.

On the first site there is a internet connection by CableNet.

On the second site there is ADSL.

Third site has no connection to internet. (they don't need.)
They will make a leased line for this site.

I have heard about FreeS/Wan to make a VPN connection over internet, but is this the only solution or not?
And does anybody here experienced about VPN with linux?

Thanks

Is it a commercial setup or sort of home office? I am at the FreeS/WAN website poking around - I just wish they had done a better job on documentation - at least provide some examples of config files or leave the floppy with the text files still mounted
Code:
Not Found

The requested URL /mnt/floppy/manpage.d/ipsec.8.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
