FreeS/Wan Vs. OpenS/Wan Vs. StrongS/Wan

Hello friends,

I have some problem with VPN while implementing the Certificate Authorization method , i am very much perplexed in using freeswan. I got feedback from forums and online documents of using freeswan as my vpn solution at the same time i have read this link on freeswan .

http://www.freeswan.org/ending_letter.html

On that page in 3rd paragraph they mentioned about some problems with freeswan usage in USA.

I am confused whether to use freeswan / openswan or strongswan as a long lasting vpn solution and why ?.

So want your urgent suggestions or links to solve my confusion .......

don't mind if I am wrong at any place because I am somewhat a newbie in this area.

Thanx in advance
ANKUR.

Open sWAN is getting the support of the some heavyweights..
http://www.internetnews.com/security...le.php/3369511

and strongSwan has it's commercial interests too..

They are both forks of the original FreeS/WAN project with their own flavour of updates, both slightly different ways of getting IPSEC to become easier to integrate into a system..
So it's good news for IPSEC support!

Check your distro and see which one they are supporting..
