sup guys, dig it, i run vsftpd and ive run into a slight problem. but first know this. for my vsftpd.conf, when i use the default (example, and with xinetd) i had absolutely no problems when connecting to my ftp site, ive recently inserted another vsftd.conf with basically the same stuff except now i run it in standalone. and i get a
500 OOPS: vsftpd: security: 'one_process_model' is anonymous only
im not really sure how or where that happend, but im hoping you can help me out. take a look at the vsftpd.conf file first:
From the man pages: If you have a Linux 2.4 kernel, it is possible to use a different security model which only uses one process per connection. It is a less pure security model, but gains you performance. You really don't want to enable this unless you know what you are doing, and your site supports huge numbers of simultaneously connected users.
Since I'm sure you don't know to much about this, and you're not going to support huge numbers of simultaneously connected users, then I'd go ahead and disable it.
