Can Linux work in a network with no router, no DNS either?
Only IP/Mask.

30-40 winpcs.

I am on a lan with router, dns1,dns2.
I temporarily erased the router settings and the dns1,2 as well.
I could see the other pcs within the same network.

I am the 10.10.10.3 and i could see the 10.10.10.34 machine.

However this is cannot be done in a SuSE 9.0 Pro box
(in a SuSE 8.2 Pro box this can be done.)

What is wrong with suse 9.0 Pro?
