Vncserver not working / starting


Everything was working fine. I could do vnc an all. One fine day it just stops.

Information below


vncserver
xauth: (stdin):1: bad display name "xxx-linuxdesk:2" in "add" command

New 'apchitra-linuxdesk:2 (xxx)' desktop is xxx-linuxdesk:2

Starting applications specified in /root/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /root/.vnc/xxx-linuxdesk:2.log

That link was helpful. I can now login through vnc client. But I donot get my desktop, I just get "one" plain shell (which is not my actual desktop). Its just like vnc to the machine and no the desktop.
