So I have some question about ubuntu, whonix, tor and anonymity. If my main focus is just the anonymity and not the security (Don't start to tell me, 'if it's not secure we will find you', I know, I'm not doing anything illegal, it's more for fun). I already got some answers but I would like to do a recap to be sure.
So for what I checked, it start with ubuntu, then whonix gateway, whonix workstation and I want to add a last vm (Mac or maybe other). But it's really not clear.
Here are my questions :
1 So I have first to start with ubuntu or 1 or this flavour isn't?
2 Then to be anonymous I take whonix so first I have virtual box, then I download whonix gateway and workstation (xcfe), I set up them with vb and finally go on whonix worstation ? Is it right ? Can I then have virtual box in whonix workstation to finally get Mac ?
3 OR I still take virtualbox, whonix gateway (BUT NOT WORKSTATION) and finally directly get a mac vm but with all the network through whonix gateway (Do it work with 'port forwarding' on virtual box) ?
4 What happen If I took ubuntu and then regret it later ? My mac is lost ? (If I don't dual boot)
Bonus question, with big reward (NO I'm KIDDING hahahaha)
5 I don't plan to do it, but it's just to know and I would like the answer of someone WHO DID IT. And don't tell me to 'NOT take this way, it's way better without', yes, you are right.
About gaming (and considering that 2 or 3 is ok) if I go on multi on the vm what's happen? It's going to be laggy ? Or it don't work?
6 I saw UDP and TCP somewhere, whonix gateway can't convert it ? Is there a way to do it (I saw, if I understood, that UDP could sometime become TCP with vpn) ?
7 Do I'm efficiently anonymous like this ? (I don't mainly talk about security) ?
8 And what about ubuntu host, do whonix gateway also hide it ?
It's already really painfull for me so PLEASE DON'T HAD MORE PAIN with technical details.
I don't ask you if you like or not. And you can only answer to 1 question if you want.
2,3,4 I don't totally understand the questions? It is possible to use other operating systems. VirtualBox runs on MacOS so you do not need to duel boot.

1 Yes any host with virtualbox or kwm can do it but If I have windows as host and mac too I'm nut sure to really be anonymous by doing there is a risk of 'back door' with them whereas I think (if I understood) that ubuntu don't have this 'back door' problem so it give a better basis to start to be annonymous.
2,3 I'm just asking which one work (to be anonymous and run mac in a virtual box) Because I don't know if we can run a vm in whonix (which already run thank to virtual box)
4 (I already know the answer it was just to be completly sure) I want to have ubuntu as MAIN HOST so if I don't dual boot I obviously lose the other os (MAC) as host ?
5 Right now I'm not so sure about it because there is some conection incompatibility (conflict), indeed old game should work and some new can certainly do it but as said before I'm really not so sure about 'new', so I prefer to find someone who did it to get his feedback. (And I'm sure that some people would also like a good feedback about this because I already so the question but answers didn't seem clear)
6 THANK you it's really helpfull even if it doesn't seem easy.
7,8 yes but just about 'anonymity' even if I already checked this, its very 'formal', I would like to have a little 'casual' translation (not just 'yes' of course LOL). Because there is some aspect where they said that tor fail but I don't know how easily or hardly it can happen.

1 Yes but Mac or windows could have back door which make it no so anonymous even with a VM
Whereas (if I understood) ubuntu shouldn't have this problem, so it make it more safe to start to be anonymous.
2,3 It was to know which one is ok because I don't know if we can run a vm in whonix which already work thank to virtual box (for 2) and I don't know if 'port forwarding' can allow to put all the 'mac vm' network through whonix gateway. (for 3)
4 ( I already know the answer but it was to be completly sure) I want to have ubuntu as main host so I f I don't dual boot I lose the other os mac*(as host)?
5 I'm not so sure about it because there is some connection incompatibility (conflict), indeed it should work for old game and maybe some new, but I'm really not sure about 'new'. So I would like to have a feedback from someone who already did it (And I think that some people would also like a good feedback about it because this question was already asked but the answers didn't seems to be clear)

7,8 Yes I already checked this but it's really 'formal' and I would like to have a fast 'casual' translation (don't just 'yes' LOL) they said that sometime TOR fail but I don't know how, easily or hardly, it can happen.
